Planting Seeds in Our Community

Last week the All Saints Family Care residents, staff and neighborhood children planted this years community garden. The kids and residents enjoyed petting alpaca and sheep and getting their hands dirty with planting. The fresh vegetables grown in the garden will be used in our community cooking classes. A Heart Healthy Community Dance

Who says staying healthy can’t be fun. We will be hosting a heart healthy Valentines dance on February 18th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The focus is heart health for the month of February. We will highlight our favorite healthy combo… moving and eating healthy. We will DJ songs to “dance your heart out,” with healthy snacks, punch, and recipes there for the tasting. Playoff Pay Back

The NFL football play-offs generated a bet between our own Dr. Beth Damitz (an ardent Lions fan) and residency coordinator Julie Delahaut (a rabid Packers fan). The winner of the Packer/Lions game would be free to decorate the loser’s office door. The decorations would need to be retained until the winner’s team was eliminated from the play-offs.
